My Manifesto

Art is effort—the passion dedicated to honing yourself and your form; the time spent on concept and presentation. Art is a display of energy, creative or otherwise. The bunching of well-used muscles, a newly designed or improved technology, the precisely carved notches on a bedpost, all of these things are ‘art.’ Art is a celebration of productivity, the only thing that goes to show one has lived.

Art is the time spent coordinating an outfit and grooming your appearance to be a proud display of individuality. Art can be intangible—a light show, a song, a fantasy, an ideal. Art can be made real in the taste of candy, the touch of textile, the smell of freshly-dyed hair.

Art is life: Inciting emotion, existing as a product of humans and non-humans alike, being made and growing and decaying and growing more until it changes to something new.

Art is evolution.
